Busy rest station with cars going both directions of A1 Autobahn. Asking people directly works well here.―Abuelo

Local people avoid hitchhikers here. Try your luck by going to the big parking lot of the "Bergbahnen" and ask drivers with German or foreign license plates and you're more lucky. Better chances in the afternoon, Impossible in the late morning.Consider taking the bus to Waidring to get to the next bigger road (B178) leading to Salzburg and Germany

Difficult spot. Very high traffic but barely anyone stopping even if visibility should be good and people are slowing down for the speed camera (60).I tried getting to Salzburg or even Vienna from there but no chance, even though stastically at least 1/5 cars is going to Salzburg on this road.
Got a ride to Shell gas station in Lofer instead after waiting for over 90! minutes

After the roundabout. Some locals might park there but it still works. Got a short ride to the next village very fast.―Anonymous

I decided to hitchhike from this place beacuse I couldn't find better one. I think that this place is not so good but I was lucky. Some guy stopped there, I asked him if he is going Innsbruck direction and he took me all the way to Switzerland.―Anonymous

Not the best spot but it works. Cars go fast past the lights because it's always green for them. You're very visible and there's room to stop though. Got a ride to Innsbruck in an hour.―Anonymous

Strangely enough, despite being located in a corner, you get a fast response here. Also, a truck company is right next to it, so you have a chance to ask truck drivers for a ride.―Abuelo

In the morning hours until noon it's almost only local traffic to the supermarket and short-distance commuters passing by, not giving you a ride because too short―Anonymous

Hundreds of cars passing, yet it took over 30 min for a car to stop to finish the last 10 km of 110 km hitchhiking distance. Not the best, maybe because it‘s close to a school and people pay attention to the crosswalk

Hit or missFriday 16:00 absolutely zero chance despite holding a sign with direction Innsbruck. Got shouted and honked at. Try this spot rather on a weekend.

Tough spot. If you're stuck here, I might see you when I'm home and help you out ;)―Abuelo

Very good spot to get towards Tirol or Zell am See. There's a roof on the bus station so during rain you can stay dry―Abuelo

Meaningless spot, despite good visibility and a good opportunity to stop (it's a bus stop), people ignore you here completely and the one's who didn't ignore me, gave me hostile or mocking reactions.―Abuelo

Very good spot for short distance to go to Berchtesgaden, Bad reichenhall, Lofer, Zell am See or Kitzbühel.Cheap fuel so even at nighttime a lot of cars stop and you can ask drivers
